Enlisted as a private in the Marine Corps & served at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, CA for 2 years as an administrative clerk. The transferred to the US Marine Corp Reserves in Milwaukee for 3 years as a Supply Clerk. Then transferred to the WI Air National Guard as a Safety Technician. Later received a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant and retired with 24 years service as a major.
