Boot camp, May 26, 1961. EM Electrician "A" school Great Lakes - 3 months. Joined USS Forrestal spring of 1962. Two Mediterranean Cruises, 3 Caribbean Cruises, lot of 2 wk. training (pilot) exercises. Refitted with missile mounts and went to Vietnam 1965 (June). Enlistment over May 21, 1965 in Portsmouth Naval Yards.
