WWII - Philippine Liberation - Asiatic/Pacific Campaign.
Hank was the oldest boy of nine children and grew up on a farm in Franklin, WI. He entered the Navy and WW II, at the age of 22. He participated in the Philippine Liberation and the Asiatic/Pacific Campaign while serving as a Gunner's Mate aboard LSM-185, a landing ship with amphibious forces. He worked for Nordberg Manufacturing for 46 years and traveled the world working as a Field Service Superintendent. Even after retirement he continued to make "house calls" for Nordberg per client requests until he was 75. He had a home built in the "L" section of Greendale in 1965 and lived there until he passed away at age 93. He was a devoted son, brother, wonderful husband to Carol, and father of three sons. He was a loving father-in-law and an extremely proud Grandfather and Great Grandfather.
