My dad grew up in Iowa - an "Irish Settlement" community in Cummings/Madison County. He came to Milwaukee, worked at Harnischfeger as a machinist. He married, started a family after discharge from the Army. He applied to live in Greendale & moved here in 1k938. He was active at St. Alphonsus as an usher and a trustee. Also on the Village Board as a trustee. Always loved Greendale!
