Midshipman Cruise summer 1968 - Initiated into the Solemn Mysteries of the Ancient Order of the Shellbacks at longitude 42 21 02 W on the USS Randolf CV - 15.
Commissioned Ensign US Navy 1/24/1970. Assigned to USS Enterprise - CVA(N)-65 - 3/19/1970. Served as 4th Division Officer - Boats Division. Qualified as OOD in-port, Combat Informaton Center Surface Watch Officer and Junior Officer of the Watch. Promoted to Lieutenant 2/1/1974 while in the reserves. Visited Rio De Janeiro, Honolulu and Olongapo, Philippines.
