Dan was stationed at Tyndall AFB in Panama City, Florida a training base for ADC pilots. He was the coordinator for on the job training first at squadron level and then at group headquarters. While in service he was married to his wife Delores and in 1958 they had their first child. Additional info. In September 2018 hurricane Michael destroyed 90% of Tyndall AFB. It is currently being rebuilt.
